Zero Waste Weaving

IMG_8861.JPG

The fabric and garment industry is responsible for producing massive amounts of waste which go directly into landfills- let’s break the cycle!  At Weaving Hand we work with designers to repurpose material waste as “yarn” in a process called Zero Waste weaving.

In Zero Waste Weaving, scrap yardage is cut into strips and used as the weft material in this specialized weaving technique.  We help designers eliminate waste while adding one of kind pieces to their collections. All yardage is custom and embodies the designer’s aesthetic through palette and design.
